M & M Christmas Poem
At Christmas time it is important to find new ways to look at the Christmas story. For children it is helpful to provide concrete "anchors" and images for them to remember key points in the story. Recently, at Hope Covenant Church in Illinois, our young children learned the M & M Christmas Story. Thank you to Bev Havinga for sharing this story with us. You will find links to many free printables to use with this poem on our page here. Enjoy and share the M & M Christmas Poem!
M & M Christmas Poem
As you hold these candies in your hand,
And turn them, you will see...
The M becomes a W, an E, and a 3.
They tell the Christmas story, It's one I'm sure you know.
It took place in a stable, a long, long time ago.
E: The E is East
Where the star shone so bright.
M: The M is for the Manger
Where the baby Jesus slept that night.
3: The 3 is for the Wise Men
Bearing gifts, for Him they came.
W: W is for Worship, Hallelujah,
Praise to HIs name.
So as you eat these candies, Or share them with a friend,
Remember the Spirit of Christmas, And never let it end!!!
